Details Works in the Trauma unit (2 trauma bays) within an emergency department setting Serves a trauma patient population requiring advanced critical care intervention during initial primary and secondary survey Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Weekend availability required Equipment used includes Level 1 Rapid Infuser, HOT LINE, EKG, GE CareScape ultrasound, Hamilton ventilator, CAT tourniquet, and Alaris IV pump EMR: Meditech No floating or on-call requirements 13-week contract Requirements Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date) ENPC preferred CPI certification required for ER units (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI) NIH Stroke Certification required Minimum 2 years of recent trauma or emergency RN experience required Experience running mass transfusions via Level 1 Rapid Infuser required Strong IV access skills required Ability to work in a high-stress environment with rapid critical thinking US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required Additional Information Responsibilities include IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, assisting with chest tube procedures, traction, central and arterial line placement, and emergency bedside procedures OR assistance may be required as needed Functions as a Trauma Nurse Lead during the primary and secondary survey period Red top and black bottom scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months American Traveler Job ID P-684775.
