Details Emergency Department (ED) of a large academic teaching hospital Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, Monday through Sunday Every other weekend requirement at minimum, with schedule flexibility expected to meet unit and patient care needs No block scheduling available Epic EMR experience required; must be from within the past 2 years Bi-weekly Monday orientations available Requirements Active RN license in Vermont or a compact state; NY candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY licensure Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC — TNCC must be presented or proof of scheduled class provided prior to start; NIHSS required prior to start Preferred certifications: CEN, ENPC, MOAB, ProAct, or other de-escalation training (e.g., CPS) Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required; candidates with experience at large (500 bed) teaching facilities and more than one ED may be considered without prior travel experience Large teaching facility ED experience required Epic experience within the past 2 years required and non-negotiable Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment SSN and DOB required for consideration All employment gaps exceeding 90 days must be explained Additional Information Complete work history including bed count, EMR system, and facility type is required This is a position at a facility not accessible by public transportation — reliable personal or rental transportation is required A vehicle equipped with all-season or snow tires is strongly recommended during November through April Candidates living within 50 miles (measured by straight line) are considered local; those between 51–100 miles qualify for the travel rate This is an interview-to-offer (ITO) position American Traveler Job ID P-687337.
