Details Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week 13-week contract No on-call requirements Requirements Active NY State (NYS) RN license required Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer MEDITECH EMR experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probationary period and become defibrillation certified within six months of employment Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified (completed during orientation) Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred 2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager from within the past year and within the ED specialty required for consideration Additional Information Must be able to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations May be required to assume charge nurse duties Must demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate Must be able to assess and safely implement use of lifts to move patients Must perform well in high-stress situations with strong problem-solving and communication skills Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; a 100-mile radius rule applies to the travel pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-677281.
