Details Emergency Care Center (ECC) setting within a hospital Night shift schedule: 6PM–6AM, 12-hour shifts 13-week contract Floating required between 4 EDs and inpatient units (IMC/ICU based on experience and level of care); floating is volume dependent Requirements Active RN license in TX or via compact state required Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Minimum 1 year of ED or related nursing specialty experience BSN preferred US Social Security Number required for consideration 2 professional references required for consideration Copies of all active certifications required for consideration Additional Information Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed for both organizational onboarding and ED-specific requirements Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates American Traveler Job ID P-686566.
