Job Details Position: Travel Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Department RN Location: Columbus, OH 43210 — Ohio nursing jobs / Columbus healthcare Unit: CC96001 | Oncology Pod – Emergency Department Start Date: April 6, 2026 End Date: July 6, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment) Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,720 – $1,820 Patient Ratio: 1:4 Weekend Coverage: Required Floating: Required within department Charting System: Epic EMR (required) Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Job Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (within the last 3 years) Travel Experience: At least 1 year of travel RN experience (required) — travel nursing jobs preferred License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio) in hand at time of submission Education: Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (required) Clinical Skills: Proficient in IV starts, telemetry monitoring and interpretation, dysrhythmia management, phlebotomy, blood product administration, triage, ventilator care, isolation precautions/PPE Charting: Epic EMR experience required References: Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leader; no coworker-only references) Compliance: Ability to meet strict pre-start compliance deadlines and complete fingerprinting promptly Time Off: Request time off must be submitted with application Preferred: Oncology nursing experience (preferred, not required) Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency nursing care to a diverse, high-acuity patient population including oncology patients Perform rapid assessment, triage, and initiate appropriate interventions for patients of all ages Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and monitor telemetry Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, respond to codes and emergencies, and escalate care as needed Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols to ensure patient and staff safety Document accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services Float to other areas within the Emergency Department as required Support patient and family education with compassionate, clear communication Why this travel nursing job: Gain experience in a high-volume Emergency Department with oncology exposure, sharpen emergency and critical care skills, and expand your travel RN portfolio in Columbus, Ohio.
