Details Oncology Pod Emergency Department (Onc Pod ED) within a hospital setting General combined adult and pediatric emergency department Patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts), 19:00–07:30 Rotating 12-hour day/night contract may include nights or a mix of shifts based on department needs, reassessed every 4-week scheduling period Floating is required Epic EMR experience is required Skills required include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, phlebotomy, central line care and management, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, care of ventilated patients, IV vasopressor administration, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE Facility is STEMI and Stroke certified Requirements Valid OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of ED experience required Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required (hard stop — no exceptions) Oncology experience preferred but not required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Epic EMR experience required Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership (charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference); coworker references are not accepted Additional Information Local candidates are accepted All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and will be built into the contract; up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted at the facility's discretion for a 13-week contract Former facility employees are eligible after a 6-month break from the facility; current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after contract signing — candidates should be prepared to act quickly, as delays can impact the start date First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to the hard-stop travel experience requirement American Traveler Job ID P-677858.
