Opportunity: Registered Nurse - OR Job Details: • Work Monday through Friday various day shifts with 40 hours guaranteed per week • 13-week contract assignment requiring traveler to be outside 50-mile radius from facility • On-call requirements: 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week with 30-minute response time to OR • Work every 3rd-4th weekend and holiday rotation • Vehicle required due to 30-minute response time requirement • Work in 21 operating rooms covering all specialties with 4-5 rooms assigned per day • Assist anesthesia providers throughout variety of specialties with main focus on cardiothoracic program • Required to assist with intubations, fiber optic scopes during intubation, sterile techniques with central lines • Assist anesthesiologist with placement of arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters • Perform IV starts, draw labs, set up medication pumps, operate Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment • Support anesthesia during heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries • Must perform downtime tasks when needed and maintain flexible approach • 2-week orientation process with additional anesthesia skills training as needed • Scrub colors provided by facility • During flu season, mask required at all times if declining flu and COVID vaccination • Minimum 3 years OR experience with anesthesia experience required • Prior travel experience required • Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin RN License or compact RN • Epic charting system experience required • Must have strong OR/CVOR circulating experience and conscious sedation experience preferred • Associate degree or certificate required education level Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical program featuring 21 operating rooms that handle all medical specialties with a particular emphasis on their cardiothoracic program.
