Details Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting 36-bed unit with a targeted patient ratio of 1:2 Patient care involves telemetry monitoring, drips, and ventilator management Procedures and skills used include A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG draws Uses Epic EMR (experience required) Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM 36- or 48-hour weekly contract options available Travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion, within medically appropriate specialty clusters, potentially across multiple campuses within 15 miles of the main campus Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday Requirements Active RN license — OH or Compact license required (does not need to be in hand at signing) Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required Proficiency with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips Epic EMR experience required Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting the assignment Level 1 Trauma experience preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Navy blue scrubs are required RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is made, and approval is at the manager's discretion American Traveler Job ID P-686332.
