Details CVICU unit within an academic hospital setting Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) Schedule may include every other weekend, or structured as Fri–Sun or 6 on/8 off contracts Floating required to ICU, Med/Surg, and Med/Surg Telemetry units Highest acuity and specialty equipment patients are cared for by core staff; travelers will work with the remaining patient population On-call responsibilities are required Coverage for at least 50% of holidays during the contract is required Cerner charting experience preferred but not required Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, OR 1 year of Level 1 CTICU experience Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more Two professional references required for consideration Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced pay rate This is a high-acuity cardiovascular ICU role in an academic medical center environment The facility operates 24/7, and rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and availability during inclement weather are expected American Traveler Job ID P-682291.
