Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CCU - Coronary Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Coronary Care ICU (CVICU/CTICU) / Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required; strong cardiac patient experience required (CVICU preferred); CCRN preferred / Active AZ (or compact) RN license required at submission (license pending accepted) / Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS; must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts; failure results in 6-month DNU within region) / Level I Trauma, 24-bed high-acuity CVICU with 1:1–2 ratios (high volume of 1:1 assignments) / Common cases include post-cardiac surgery recovery (CABG), Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, lung transplant, thoracic surgery (lobectomy, pneumonectomy, esophagectomy), TAVR, and transplant patients / RNs must have strong IV skills; frequent bedside procedures (bronchs, swans, epidurals) / Telemetry: Philips; EMR: Cerner / Intensivist in-house days and on-call nights; RT and Pharmacy 24/7 / Charge nurse without patient assignment; 2 PCTs on days and nights with high census / Schedule: 12-hour days (07:00–19:00), 36 guaranteed hours/week; 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; rotating holidays; 13-week contract starting 03/23/2026 / Floating required to other ICUs and Tele units (4:1 ratio on Tele); travelers float before permanent staff; may float to Westgate campus / Orientation: 12 hours plus 2 unit-specific shifts; Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab (Foley insertion & central line dressing change—strict sterile field); additional training on lifts, restraints, wound care / Must maintain natural hair color, no facial piercings; clean-shaven for fit testing; travel teams must have own vehicle / Radius rule: 50 miles (driver’s license required at submission) / Cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment / Pay package negotiable TheraEX Staffing Services Job ID 1059083.
