A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Cath Lab Job Details: • Work as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RN (CVIS RN) performing technical skills during cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures • Maintain 1:4 patient ratio • On-call required: 15 days of call per month plus every third weekend • Float requirements: No • Weekend requirement: Every third weekend (1 weekend per month) • 2 years of experience required in specialty • Must be greater than 30 miles from facility (locals not accepted within 30 miles) • Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RCIS • Florida or compact RN license required • Proficient in angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring • Perform wide range of procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, and interventional radiology • Skills include cardiac ablation, pacemaker insertion, TAVR procedures, IABP placement, and various vascular closure systems • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations • 16-hour orientation required • Strict attendance policy: 3 call outs result in termination • Schedule changes may occur up to 48 hours before shift with potential impact on guaranteed hours if unable to accommodate • RTO limited to 10 days maximum with additional 2 weeks added to assignment • No RTO during first or last week of assignment Facility: This acute care hospital features 210 staffed beds and operates a comprehensive cardiovascular services department. The facility utilizes Meditech version 6.08 for charting and provides scrubs for staff members. The hospital maintains modern cardiovascular technology and equipment to support a full range of interventional procedures.
