Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Role: CVICU RN / Open Heart Recovery Nurse (10-bed CVICU; 36-bed hospital expanding cardiac services) Must-Have: Recent open-heart recovery experience (able to care for immediate post-op open heart patients from day one) recent critical care background Scope: CVICU/progressive cardiac care for stable to predictably unstable patients (pre/post PCI, pacers, CABG/vascular/CEA, thoracotomy, CHF/COPD/DKA/sepsis, etc.); manage A-lines/central lines, chest tubes, NG/CBI, multiple IV drips, telemetry/EKGs, and short-term ventilatory support Required: Montana RN license BLS, ACLS, PALS Expectations: Works with providers/ICU leadership; leads/delegates to support staff; assists with precepting and discharge planning.
