A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM • Rotating weekend schedule • 36 guaranteed hours per week • No call requirements • Assignment length: 13-26 weeks • All travelers required to float per Methodist floating policy • Device training will be provided by the hospital • Work in CVICU (unit 650) located in main building • Care for post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-catheterization patients with various cardiac support devices • Operate hemodynamic monitoring equipment including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines • Perform ventilator management • Document using Meditech charting and order entry system • Badge in/out for shifts required with mandatory 30-minute lunch break • Clock in time: 6:38 AM/PM (after 6:45 considered tardy) • Required experience: 2 years ICU experience • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH • Active Texas RN license required (no temporary licenses accepted) • Preferred experience with IABP, CRRT, and Meditech systems • Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket • Professional appearance standards including covered tattoos and clean, neat grooming Facility: This healthcare organization opened in 1963 as the first hospital in the internationally acclaimed South Texas Medical Center and has been providing high-quality patient care for over 50 years.
