Details Work in the CVICU of a hospital setting specializing in cardiac critical care Night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a 13-week contract Rotating weekend shifts required All travelers are required to float per facility policy Patients include post CABG, post VAD, and post catheterization cases, utilizing cardiac support devices such as IABP, Impella, and ECMO Hemodynamic monitoring with swans and art lines, as well as ventilator management required Meditech documentation system is used Requirements Active, permanent TX or compact RN license (temporary licenses not accepted) A minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Experience in hemodynamic monitoring, swans, art lines, and ventilator management required Exposure to IABP and CRRT preferred Meditech documentation or order entry experience preferred No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past year Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Additional Information Responsibilities include the care of complex cardiac patients including post-open heart and cardiac device support cases Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; navy or white scrub jacket permitted Clean and healthy nails, neat professional hair, and covered tattoos are required per dress code policies Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited Holiday coverage may be required depending on the schedule Floating required throughout the facility according to policy First time travelers will be informed of the facility's floating policy during the interview American Traveler Job ID P-664064.
