Details Acute care hospital setting in a Cardiac Cath Lab (Cardiac Services department) Unit operates as a new service line with 4–6 procedure rooms Performs circulator, scrub, and hemodynamic monitoring roles for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, interventional radiology procedures, and holding area procedures Includes moderate sedation cases and Imaging Department nursing care support EMR: Epic Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (8-hour shifts), 5 days per week On-call required; frequency to be determined based on staffing needs Some weekend shifts may be required based on staffing needs at the time of service start Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate Requirements Active Alaska RN license required Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS or ENPC (AHA) COVID vaccination required Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in cardiac cath or interventional radiology Experience with patients undergoing moderate sedation required Demonstrated clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-lead EKG interpretation Experience with physiologic monitoring including intra-cardiac pressure waveform knowledge, pacemaker operations (implantable and external), and related cardiac equipment Ability to operate radiographic equipment as assigned BSN not required; 4 years of cardiac cath and interventional radiology experience preferred Additional Information Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care throughout each shift in the Cardiac Cath Lab Provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care, patient assessment, and instruction Manages assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment while promoting interdisciplinary teamwork Prepares and maintains all pertinent procedural documentation Orientation includes a service partner orientation on day one, followed by department- and service-specific orientation conducted within the unit Scrubs required as the dress code This is a new service line, so some operational details (call schedule, weekend requirements, patient ratios) will be determined based on staffing at the time of service launch American Traveler Job ID P-684790.
