Details Work in the ACU/CCU unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 20 ICU beds Patient population includes CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, CVA overflow, post-cath patients (TR bands and femoral approach), and surgical patients (vascular, abdominal, GI) Procedures include chest tube management, wound vacs, dressing changes, and monitoring femoral arterial sheaths (travelers do not pull femoral sheaths) Common drips include diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin Blood product administration and BiPAP management required Preferred experience with arterial lines, Impella, and/or IABP EMR: Epic 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730) 36 hours per week Every other weekend rotation required Floating may be required to Tele, Telemetry 2EW, Med-Surg, and Neurology-Medical units No on-call responsibilities Requirements Active WA RN license or compact RN license (pending license accepted with proof of application and application date) Current certifications: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Must have completed at least one prior travel nursing assignment Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, and femoral arterial sheath monitoring required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Clinical interview via SimpliFi required, with final approval from the unit Two professional references required (supervisor level or above — Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.); one reference may be submitted initially, with a second required prior to start Scrub color: any color, professional attire First-time travelers will not be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-685877.
