Registered Nurse - Primary Care Clinic

Job Description Our Primary Care clinic in Overland Park is seeking a RN to join our team! KS & MO RN License required M-F Days; 8:30a-5p No weekends, No holidays, No call Hybrid after 6 months; alternating weeks onsite and remote The Opportunity This is a phone triage role, with approximately 85% of the time spent on the phones. This person will support two providers. You will return calls on lab results, respond to general medical questions, complete prior auths, schedule appointments, coordinate patient care and follow up, educate patients, and complete injections as needed. The ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, be a strong team player, and be able to adapt to changing priorities on a daily basis with a positive attitude. The entire job description is below. Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures. In clinic setting, provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care. Schedules emergent need patient appointments, identifies learning needs for patients and families, and provide advice and recommendations. Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing. Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
