Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 18 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience. • Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted. • 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB. Wound care, chest tubes, NGT, IV skills, medication administration/documentation and escalations Neuroscience: IV start, blood draws from central lines, trach care, PEG, NGT, Colostomy/Ostomy, Wound Care, Chest tube, Surgical Site Care, C-Collar, Abdominal Binders, Restraints MedSurg/Oncology: Trach care, chest tubes, PEG tubes, wound care, drains, foleys, IV starts; Chemo administration, if certified Clinical Decision Unit: Tracheotomy care, Suctioning, O2 Therapy, ostomy care, Foley care, External catheter care, PEG/NGT care and use, wound care, chest tube, central line care, pressure ulcer management/preventive measures, falls prevention management, restraints Orthopedics: PCA pumps, wound care (negative pressure dressing), dressing changes, foley, drains (hemovacs/JP drains) MS/Ortho/Urology: PCA pumps, wound care (negative pressure dressing), dressing changes, foley, drains (hemovacs/JP drains) RNs are required to interpret and confirm q4 hours strip reading Preferred Skills / Experience: MedSurg/Oncology: Chemo Experience Unit / Facility Details: Parking: Parking deck only 2nd through 4th levels Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility).
