Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Family Practice Discipline: Nurse Practitioner Start Date: 04/01/2026 Duration: 52 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Locum Tenens Travel Family Nurse Practitioner Location: IHS facility – Pinon, AZ. 86510 Pay Rate: $70 per hour $38.32 per hour Travel Stipends Schedule: Regular work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. 40 hours per week Contract Length: 1 year Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages in an outpatient and walk-in clinical setting. The role includes diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, performing physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating patient care. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Minimum 2 years of in-person clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner Active Family Nurse Practitioner certification and unrestricted NP license (any U.S. state) Current RN license NPBD Report DEA license Current BLS, CPR, and PALS certifications (ACLS and ATLS preferred) Valid driver’s license Ability to pass a background check and meet IHS credentialing standards.
