Position: CRNA Faculty, DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program Reports to: Program Director Position Summary: The CRNA faculty member is responsible for developing and delivering core course content in a manner that supports the learning needs of adult, professional students. The faculty member is expected to incorporate hi-fidelity, human patient simulation, laboratory resources, and task trainers in their courses. Position Responsibilities Prepare core nurse anesthesia curriculum content for delivery to nurse anesthesia students Evaluate the academic performance of nurse anesthesia students Advise assigned students through their program of study. Serve on DNP Scholarly Project Committees as a Chair or Team member Serve on University, College, and Program committees Participate in scholarship/research, professional practice, teaching, and service Position Requirements Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) from an institution of higher education that is accredited by an agency officially recognized by the US Secretary of Education to accredited institution at the time the degree was conferred. Current or eligibility for an unencumbered North Carolina license as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) Current certification or recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a CRNA Teaching experience in a nurse anesthesia program or graduate nursing program preferred.
